Traditional ribbons to be used to cover seams and decorate sewing projects. In general they are made in cotton although they can also be synthetic. They have mostly geometric three-dimensional motifs embroidered over a base fabric, and are normally quite stiff. These are high quality ribbons to be used in curtains and refined and elegant sewing projects.
Among other, we have several models by Maison Sajou based on traditional motifs and made in France, on high quality cotton fabric. These models are less rigid and very indicated to be used in traditional embroidery or patchwork projects, mostnly using reds, raw and white colors.
Synthetic decorative tapes for sewing projects
Rigid woven ribbons made with synthetic materials, bright colors and beautiful designs, both geometric and figurative (shapes of people or animals). They are affordable, colorful and resistant, although it is not advisable to iron on them, as they can be damaged by heat.
They are woven only on one side, and loose yarns can be seen on the wrong side. For this reason they are not used as regular ribbons, but sewn to another fabric.
