In this website there are five types of forms that gather personal information:

You can contact Botonalia thorugh email (ventas@botonalia.com) or through the contact form, which link can be found at the top menu bar reading "Contact us".

What information is collected

The collected information in both cases consists of your email address and your IP address. The customer or visitor can send a file attached to the message, which contents will also be collected by Botonalia.

The use we make of the collected information

Any information collected from the contact form will be used exclusively for communication with the customer in relation to the question, request or claim arising from their use of the contact form tool. They will not be used for any other purpose.

For how long is the information kept

The personal information collected through the contact form that is not linked to a customer account will be deleted in a period of approximately one year.

Personal information linked to customer accounts will be maintained during the life of the account, unless a request is received by the owner of the information to delete it.

Newsletter subscription form

You can choose to subscribe to Botonalia's newsletter through the form at the bottom of the page or when creating your customer account, by checking the corresponding box of the account creation form.

What information is collected

The information received in these two cases consists of your email address and the IP address from which the subscription is made.

The use we make of the collected information

The persona information collected will be used exclusively for managing and sending Botonalia's newsletter.

For how long is the information kept

Subscriptions to the newsletter will be considered active and will not be deleted unless there is a request from the holder to unsubscribe.

Personal information linked to canceled subscriptions, as well as unconfirmed ones, will be deleted from the registry every month.

Blog comments form

You can write comments on the different articles published in Botonalia's blog that are still open for comments.

What information is collected

When writing comments on the blog, we receive the following personal information: your name, email address and the IP address from which the message is sent.

An anonymous chain created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to check if the visitor who wants to post the comment is using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After the approval of your comment, if there is a gravatar image available, the profile image is visible to the public in the context of the comment.

If a visitor leaves a comment on our website, they can choose to leave their name, email address and web in cookies. This is optional and is for the convenience of the visitor, so you do not have to re-fill your data when leaving another comment, or have to wait for queues of moderation. These cookies will last one year.

The use we make of the collected information

For how long is the information kept

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be kept in the blog during the life of it or the specific entry in which they are published, unless there is a request to delete by the owner of the personal information. The email address will be used as an identifier in case of a request to delete the comment.

Customer account creation form

You can create a new customer account in Botonalia through the link "Sign in" in the top menu of each page or through the purchase process. It is not necessary to place an order to create a customer account.

The customer account will allow you to use functions such as:

  • Save lists of favourite products.
  • Request to be notified when a product is back in stock with a simple click.
  • Communicate directly with Botonalia.
  • Review information related to discount codes received.
  • Save your shopping cart for later.
  • etc.

The customer account is also the basis of the business relationship with Botonalia.

What information is collected

The form collects the minimum data necessary to open your customer account:

  • Your name and family name
  • Your email address

If you open your customer account through the purchase process you will also be asked for the following information, necessary to complete your order:

  • Shipping address
  • Invoicing address, if different
  • Contact phone number
  • Tax id number if needed for your invoice (NIF, CIF, VAT)
On the other hand, if you open your customer account outside of the purchase process, you will not need to add this information if you do not want to. If you decide to do so at any time, this information will be collected as customer information in your account.

For how long is the information kept

We use your name and email address only to send you communications related to your customer account when necessary, which are listed below:

  • Communications related to policy changes.
  • Communications related to the security of your data or other legal obligations.
  • In the case of having placed orders in the online store, communications related to these orders, such as payment status, shipping, returns, etc.

The additional personal information that you include in your account will only be available to you as a customer for your convenience when placing orders, and will not be used for any other purpose.

If during the creation of your account you have checked the boxes to receive the newsletter and / or the commercial offers of Botonalia, then your email address will also be used for these purposes.

For how long is the information kept

Inactive accounts without newsletter subscriptions or commercial information will be deleted from the database after a maximum of two years, although deletion may occur earlier.

Accounts with subscriptions may also be deleted in that period if they are considered inactive.

The rest of the accounts will not be deleted except by request of the owner, after due identification (see rights below).

Update your data through the "My account" section

You can access the personal information collected in your customer account through the "My account" section, by clicking on your customer name, which is in the upper right corner of your screen.

In this section you can click on "My personal data" and update or correct as necessary. For example, you can change your password for another. It will also be possible in this same screen to update the status of your subscriptions to the newsletter or commercial information.

Under "My Account" you will also find a section "My addresses" where you can also add, update and delete the shipping and billing addresses as needed.

Delete your customer account and all the collected data

If you want to completely delete your customer account and request a deletion of all your personal data from our database, you can do so by email to ventas@botonalia.com. It will be necessary to make the request from the same email address entered in your account or submit documentation that allows to identify the owner of the account.

If you have made purchases, your invoices will not be eliminated until the legal deadlines indicated by the tax authorities, terms of purchase guarantees or other legal obligations.

Purchase form to place an order

When you decide to make a purchase in our store, you will have to provide certain personal information necessary to carry out the sale process.

What information is collected

The personal information collected when placing an order is as follows:

  • Invoicing address
  • Shipping address
  • Contact phone number

Additionally, you can provide the NIF / NIE / CIF or similar for your invoice if required.

For how long is the information kept

Normally the information of the orders is only deleted from the database when deleting the customer account.

The invoices of each order will remain in our database during the periods required by the tax authority and other legal requirements, even if the account is closed.

Payment information

If you choose to use PayPal as payment method, you should know that this company will have access to your payment information, either with a PayPal account or with a credit card. Transfer of data to logistics companies

To carry out shipments by courier or through Correos, it is necessary to use your personal data (name and surname, address, telephone number and email address) in third-party logistics management applications, to create shipping labels and to process pick-ups.

Other transfers of information to third parties

Except in the specified cases related to payments and orders sent to customers, this site does not share or disclose the information obtained, except if requested by the competent authority and previous compliance with the legally established procedures. Rights of the owner of the personal information collected

Right of access to your personal data

For those account holders with a customer account, access to most of their personal data is easily done through the "My account" section, which can be accessed from the top right of the screen, by clicking on the customer's name .

Right of rectification

For those account holders with a customer account, the rectification of personal data collected through forms can be easily carried out through the "My account" section, which can be accessed from the top right of the screen, by clicking on the name of the customer.

If there is any information that requires rectification and is not accessible from the "My account" section, the holder of the information can request the change to Botonalia by email to ventas@botonalia.com. Botonalia may require the presentation of valid identification documents in order to respond to the request, depending on the case.

Right to cancel subscriptions and erase account

The subscription to the newsletter and / or to the commercial offers of Botonalia can be canceled at any time from the section "My account" in "Personal Information", unchecking the corresponding boxes and clicking on "Save".

If you subscribe to the newsletter but do not have a customer account, you can cancel the subscription by following the instructions that appear in any of the received newsletters. If you have problems, you can write to ventas@botonalia.com to receive assistance.

The owner of the personal information may also request the cancellation of their customer account in full, with erasure of all personal information included on it, by writing to ventas@botonalia.com with their request for cancellation of the account. Botonalia may require the presentation of a copy of valid identification documents in order to respond to the request, depending on the case.

The cancellation request will be answered and the personal information will be deleted as long as there are no legal obligations or unfinished commercial transactions, which will be justified in writing to the applicant. The invoices will be kept during the periods required by the tax authorities as well as to comply with the terms of European purchase guarantees.
